Big news! State Bank of India charges SBI account holders for digital transactions, card swipe

 

A new study from IIT-Bombay has revealed that SBI 2015-201. It has collected more than Rs 300 crore by imposing service charges during the period.

A study by IIT-Bombay has revealed that State Bank of India and several other banks in the country have levied additional charges for certain services provided to zero-balance or Basic Savings Bank Deposit Accounts (BSBDA) providers.

 

According to the survey, the  decision of SBI, the country's largest public lender, to charge Rs 1,70 per debit transaction for four out of four by BSBDA account holders is not "reasonable".

 

According to the survey, SBI has collected more than Rs 300 crore through service charges in 2010-2016. Punjab National Bank, which has 3.99 crore BSBD accounts, is in second place with a collection of Rs 9.9 crore at the same time.

Important changes in Bank rules from 1st September 2019 are as follows:

Bank Timings

In general, banks in India open at 10am for the general public but from 1st September 2019, these timings may change for the PSBs. Now, the PSBs may have to start banking functions for consumers from 9am. The Ministry of Finance has already issued directives to the PSBs to begin banking operations at 9 in the morning from September 1st.

Now it is most easy to open the SBI Savings Bank Account from any corner of India. The  State bank of India has provided online application form for opening saving account in SBI  for resident only.  It must reduces time taken for opening of account at the branch of any persons as well as the Bank Authority also, due to data already available in bank server.  Bank officials also feel free for wrong data entry as it is already entered by customers himself.  They  check only original I.D's mentioned in print out of online application formand approve the same.   Detailed general questions regarding online opening of saving bank account are given below :-

Fill the Application Form as asked in this form

Information That You Will Need to Provide
For opening an account, you need to provide the following information:
1) KYC (Know Your Customer) information: The acceptable KYC documents are available through drop down menu in the AOF.
2) Information about the Savings Bank account you wish to open and the facilities you would want in the account.
3) Form 60, if you do not have Permanent Account Number (PAN) of Income Tax.
4) Form DA-1 (optional), if you wish to make a nomination (recommended).

Documents That You Will Need to Provide
For each person who wishes to open the account, you will need to provide:
1) 2 copies of Recent passport-size colored photographs.
2) KYC documents as mentioned in the AOF
Get the Print out and submit your Bank Officials.
